The Design Library of 210 Website Mockups

We built 210 website design mockups across dozens of industries, with at least two for every industry. An owner looks, points at one, and the design question is settled in minutes instead of weeks.

The Short Version

  • 210 mockups, at least two per industry, each a full page and not a thumbnail.
  • Every mockup follows the same house design rules for fonts, photos, speed and copy.
  • Each one carries a working trade tool, a real FAQ, and a clear call to action.
  • The library replaces weeks of drafts and revisions with one short look.

Where the Weeks Go in a Website Project

Ask an owner what they want their website to look like. Most cannot say. They know it when they see it. So the usual project starts with a blank page and a designer guessing.

Draft one goes out. The owner says it is not quite right. Draft two goes out. The owner shows it to their spouse. Say each round takes a week and it takes four rounds. That is a month before anyone writes a word of copy, and nobody is happy at the end of it.

The problem is not the designer. It is asking someone to describe a picture they have not seen yet.

What We Built

We built the pictures first. The library holds 210 website design mockups across dozens of industries. Every industry on our list has at least two, so an owner always has a real choice and not a take it or leave it.

Each mockup is a full one page design for a made up local business in that trade. It has a hero, services, photos, a sample review line, a FAQ and a call to action. It also has one small working tool that fits the trade. A roofer's page might estimate roof size. A groomer's page might pick a coat type. The owner can tap it and see it work.

The mockups are clearly marked as demos. They are hidden from search engines, and their sample reviews are labeled as samples. Nothing in the library pretends to be a real business.

How It Is Wired

Every mockup starts as a small data file. It names the industry, the city and the design direction. A script makes the photos, then another turns them into WebP files and stamps them with location data. The page itself is plain HTML with no framework.

Before a design is listed, a checker runs over it. It looks for the demo marking, the hidden from search tag, a FAQ that matches its schema, one heading font that no other design uses, and a working tool. Then it takes phone and desktop screenshots at high pixel density, so the gallery cards are sharp.

The gallery reads the finished designs and builds itself. Owners can filter by category or by industry, and every filter has a link you can send. The house rules behind every page are the same ones on the static site builds page.

What Broke and What We Changed

The Designs Looked Like One Designer

Early mockups shared the same few heading fonts. Side by side, they read as one template in different colors. We gave each design one heading font of its own and banned the faces that kept showing up. Now two designs in the same trade look like two different studios.

The Gallery Was Hard to Use on a Phone

Most owners look at the library on their phone, often while we are on a call with them. The first gallery was built for a desktop, and designs did not show well on a small screen. We added a compact phone header and a row of categories you can swipe.

Thumbnails Were Too Soft

A blurry thumbnail makes a good design look cheap. We raised the capture density for both phone and desktop shots and sharpened them before saving. Clear beats small when the picture is the product.

Photos With Stray Letters

Generated photos sometimes carry letters that spell nothing. Every build now gets one reroll of a bad photo, and leftover lettering is painted out before the page lists.

What the Library Deliberately Does Not Do

A few rules keep the library honest. Each one cost us a little speed and saved a lot of trust.

  • It does not pose as real businesses. Every mockup is a made up business with a demo ribbon on it. A visitor who lands on one by accident can tell in a second.
  • It does not rank in search. Every mockup is marked so search engines skip it. The library is for owners picking a direction, not for pulling traffic away from real sites.
  • It does not reuse photos on live sites without a record. When a real site borrows a mockup image, that image is logged and goes to one live site only. Two businesses should never share the same hero shot.
  • It does not use numbered tiles or stock icon grids. Those are the first thing that makes a page look like every other page. The mockups lean on real looking photos and plain words.

The result is a library that sells a direction without making a promise the real site cannot keep.

What It Means When You Switch It On

You skip the month of drafts. You scroll your industry, point at a direction, and we start from there. Your site starts with fonts, photos and structure that already follow our rules for speed and readability. The talk moves on to what makes your business different, which is the part that matters.

Once you pick, the real site is built with your own photos and your own words. The mockup is the starting point, not the finish line.

Questions People Ask

Can I use one of the mockups as my website?

It is the starting point. Once you pick a direction, your real site is built with your own photos, services and words.

Is there a design for my industry?

There are 210 designs across dozens of industries, with at least two for each one on our list. If yours is missing, we build it.

Are the reviews on the mockups real?

No. They are sample lines, clearly marked as samples. Your real site only shows real reviews, word for word.

How long does it take to pick a design?

Most owners pick a direction in one short look. That replaces weeks of drafts.
