What You Get
This is the list we work from when a new static site goes live. It starts with a bare domain and ends with a site that is served from the edge, redirects the stray address, returns a real 404, and tells search engines it exists.
Every config file in it is the one we actually use, with your details swapped for blanks. You copy it, fill in [your-domain], and run it.
Each of the ten steps ends with a check you can answer yes or no. You will know the step worked before you start the next one. That matters most on the steps that fail quietly, like email records that did not come across or a sitemap that lists your thank you page.
Why a Checklist and Not a Course
Launching a static site is not hard. It is fiddly. There are about forty small things, and the ones you forget do not show up as errors. The site loads fine. Then a month later you find the www address shows a copy of the whole site, or the preview address got indexed, or Search Console never saw your sitemap.
A checklist fixes that. You do not need to understand every step to get it right. You need to not skip one.
What It Does Not Cover
It does not teach you HTML or design. It assumes you already have a folder of pages that look the way you want. It does not cover forms that need a server, logins, or a database. Those need an app, not a static site. And it does not promise rankings. It makes sure nothing on the technical side is holding you back.

Questions People Ask
Do I need a paid Cloudflare plan?
No. Everything in the checklist works on the free plan for a normal small business site. If your traffic grows far past that, Cloudflare will tell you before it bills you.
Will this work if my site was built with a site generator?
Yes. Any tool that outputs a folder of HTML files works. You point the config at that output folder instead of a hand-built one.
What if my domain is registered somewhere else?
That is fine and common. The checklist shows you how to move just the nameservers to Cloudflare. The domain stays with your registrar.
