Who it is for. Owners, marketers and builders at service businesses that cover more than one town and want a page for each place that is worth reading.
Time it saves. Our estimate is that it cuts a well researched city page from most of a day to about an hour once the worksheet is filled in, and saves the cost of pages that never get indexed.
What You Get
Three city page templates for a service business, each built for a different situation. One for when you drive to customers. One for when customers from a nearby town drive to you. One for a group of small towns that do not each deserve their own page.
Around the templates are the tools that make the pages good. A local facts worksheet, so each page says something true and specific about its place. An FAQ bank with schema. A linking map. And a self check that tells you, before you publish, whether a page is useful or just a copy with a new city name.
Why Most City Pages Fail
The common way to make city pages is to write one, copy it thirty times, and swap the city name. Search engines have seen that for years. They call it a doorway page. At best those pages never get indexed. At worst they drag down the rest of the site.
The test is simple. If someone searched for your service in that town and landed on your page, would they be glad they did, even with no search engine involved? A page passes when its substance changes with the place: who covers it, how long it takes to get there, what jobs are common there, what customers there have said. The worksheet makes you gather those facts first. The templates show you where each one goes.
What It Does Not Do
It does not write your pages for you and it does not promise rankings. Where you rank also depends on your Google profile, your reviews, your distance from the searcher and your competition. It also will not help you rank in a town you do not really serve. The pack is built to stop you doing that, because it does not work for long.
Where It Comes From
We build location pages for our own brands and directory sites, and we have merged and removed plenty that did not earn their place. The free guide on city pages that rank teaches the thinking. This pack is the finished kit.
Questions People Ask
How many city pages should I make?
One for each place you really serve and can say something true and specific about. For many small businesses that is a handful of pages plus one or two regional pages, not fifty.
Can I use these templates with AI writing tools?
Yes, as long as the facts come from the worksheet and a person checks every claim. An AI tool can shape the words. It cannot know who covers the town or what your customers there said.
Will these pages work if I do not have an office in each city?
Yes. Template A is built for businesses that drive to customers. It never pretends you have an address in the town, which is a line you should not cross.
Do I need the schema code?
It is optional but useful. It helps search engines read your FAQs and your service area. The pack shows you how to make sure it matches the page exactly.
