What Is Inside

  • A one-time audit of name, address, phone, hours, website link and description, with the mistakes that get profiles suspended
  • Category and service checks, with a way to see which categories the businesses above you use
  • Photo rules: what to shoot, what never to upload, and a copy-ready command to add location data to a photo
  • A weekly routine and a monthly routine, as tick boxes
  • Six post templates you fill in, one for each kind of post worth writing
  • Eight review reply templates, from five stars to a review from someone who was never a customer
  • A review request text and the rules that keep it inside Google policy
  • A monthly tracking sheet for the numbers worth writing down

Who it is for. Owners and office staff at local service businesses who keep their own Google profile and want a routine they can hand to someone else.

Time it saves. Our estimate is that it turns an hour or more of weekly guessing into about twenty minutes of known tasks, and saves the first audit an afternoon.

What You Get

Your Google profile is often the first thing a customer sees. It shows your phone number, your hours, your photos and your reviews before they ever reach your website. Most owners set it up once and then leave it, or they log in every so often and poke at it without a plan.

This checklist gives you the plan. A one-time audit to fix what is wrong now. A weekly routine that takes about twenty minutes. A monthly routine that catches the slow problems. And the templates that make each task quick: post outlines, review replies and a review request text.

Why It Is a Routine and Not a Trick

There is a lot of advice about secret profile tricks. Most of it is old, and some of it gets profiles suspended. Stuffing keywords into your business name is the classic one. What works is dull: accurate facts, real photos, steady posts, and a reply to every review. The hard part is doing it every week. A checklist makes the dull part easy to keep up.

It also makes the work easy to hand off. When the routine lives in your head, it stops the week you get busy. When it lives on a page with tick boxes, anyone at the front desk can run it, and you can see at a glance whether it got done.

What It Does Not Cover

It does not cover paid ads or Local Services Ads. It does not cover how to get your profile verified the first time, because Google changes that process often and shows you the current steps when you start. It does not promise a spot in the map pack. Nobody honest can promise that.

Where It Comes From

We run the profile routine for our own brands, including a working auto repair shop. The free guide on review requests teaches the thinking behind asking for reviews. This checklist is the finished routine, with every template written out so you or a staff member can run it without us.

Questions People Ask

How long does the weekly routine take?

About twenty minutes once you have done it a few times. The first audit takes longer, usually an afternoon, because it fixes things that have been wrong for a while.

Can I hand this to an employee?

Yes. That is what it is built for. The templates and tick boxes mean someone new can run the routine without guessing what good looks like.

Does adding location data to photos help my ranking?

Nobody outside Google can say for sure, and the checklist does not claim it does. We add it because it is true, it costs nothing, and it keeps a record of where each photo was taken.

What if I do not have a storefront?

The checklist covers service area businesses too. It shows you how to hide your address and list the areas you serve instead.
